What Are the Best Mattresses For Back Support?

To find the best mattress for back support a consumer has to undergo a vigorous process of research and analysis. There is a huge variety of mattresses available in the market and it becomes very difficult to select the one which is the most effective in providing back support. One must thoroughly go through the reviews, recommendations and suggestions about each mattress and then make a comparison to select the right one. Many mattresses have undergone research and scientific studies to verify their effectiveness and beneficial aspects. When going to shop for a good quality mattress one should consider its characteristics to improve back pain, support it provide to the back, pressure points and the cost and value tradeoff. Sleeping on the wrong mattress is a key factor causing back pain. If the mattress that you have selected does not provide the proper back support it will not only cause a bad sleep posture but will also strain the body muscles and disturb the alignment of the spinal cord. This will ultimately lead to pain in the lower back.

Several kinds and brands of mattresses are available in the market but there is no perfect one. Different people have different preferences and postures. So, different mattresses are suitable for different people. Some common examples are as follows:

Inner Spring Mattresses:

This type has metal coils or springs which support your back and are cover by various materials ranging from foam to latex.

Memory Foam:

This is a very popular kind of mattress these days. It is made up of several layers of foam of different densities. They have a varied response to different weights and temperatures. They are said to be most comfortable because they adjust to the posture and shape of the body and reduce back problems.

Latex Mattress:

These are made from synthetic or natural forms of rubber materials and firm to the back. It has a bouncing type of support that is uniformly distributed all over the mattress surface.

Air mattress:

These are not filled with air but have air chambers instead of springs and coils and are covered with latex or foam. These are very well suited for people who have back injuries and have to remain on bed for long periods of time.

There are no best mattresses that provide the ultimate back support. But while shopping for a new mattress you can look into the above categories and choose the one that best suits you.
