Why Are Concrete Pavers Good To Use on Pathways?

Concrete pavers are pieces of concrete in different shapes used as exterior flooring and alternative to clay, brick and concrete. They are made artificially in factories by pouring mixtures into molds of different shapes. The mixture usually includes concrete and some type of coloring agent. A very popular type of concrete pavers is interlocking concrete pavers that were first introduced in Netherlands in mid-1940s. Historically, the pavers have been in use for centuries, as Romans built roads with them that can still be seen. There are many advantages
of using these concrete pavers on pathways

 Durability of Concrete Pavers:
As compared to a standard concrete slab, they can bear nearly 4 times more stress. They can sustain heavy loads and are perfect for any type of heavy traffic. Comparing the strength with asphalt, you get to know that even asphalt has only moderate strength. This is the reason why it gets cracks in it over time because of the load of heavy traffic that passes over it. You can easily concrete pavers for your pathways without any problem.

Flexibility of Concrete Pavers:
The concrete slabs that people used to use in their driveways were not very flexible, as they were vulnerable to cracks and shrinkage. They could definitely bear heavy loads but were not able to sustain seismic distortion and environmental impacts. Asphalt is considered very flexible material that can adjust itself according to the temperature, but even asphalt’s flexibility is considered low when compared with concrete pavers. They can be used as shield on other paving systems and have found to increase the life of that paving system.

Repair and Maintenance of Concrete Pavers:
The maintenance is very affordable that does not put much burden on your budget. A concrete paving system is composed of very little concrete pavers. If any piece gets damaged, you just have to remove that piece and it surely does not cost much to replace just one piece. On the other hand, the maintenance costs of concrete slabs are very high.

Design Flexibility:
You can get as many designs as you want and there are unlimited designs to choose from. Not just designs, but you can also get unlimited colors as well. The personal preferences of customers are always taken into consideration.

Installation Cost of Concrete Pavers:
In order to reduce the installation cost of concrete pavers, you can take help from the manual provided by the manufacturer. As compared to clay, granite and sandstone pavers, they have also found less expensive.
